‘Salman Khan always relies on his persona’, says Kareena Kapoor; heaps praise on Shah Rukh Khan

Kareena Kapoor has worked with all three Khans of Bollywood. The actor has shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in films such as Ra-One and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, whereas she starred with Salman Khan in Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Bodyguard. Most recently, Kareena was seen alongside Aamir Khan in Laal Singh Chaddha (2022). In an interview with Mid-Day India, Kareena opened up about how it was completely different working with Aamir and Shah Rukh.

In a recent interview, Kareena discussed the distinctive work approaches of the three superstars, shedding light on the unique qualities that set them apart.

Heaping praise on Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena told Mid-Day, “(He is) The Shah of cinema in general. The emperor, the conqueror, everything that people have been saying I think is less for Shah Rukh.”

Kareena on working with Aamir

Regarding the work approaches of Salman and Aamir, Kareena pointed out that Salman consistently depends on his persona, personality and “super-duper stardom”. In contrast, she said, “Aamir is very focused. He just becomes that character. He gets obsessed and only thinks about his work.”

She also expressed deep affection for her parents, Randhir and Babita Kapoor, recognising their pivotal role in shaping both her and her sister Karisma Kapoor’s careers. “My mother was such a backbone to Karisma’s career,” Kareena added.

“He loves life, and living life a lot more. And a lot of that is my personality,” she recalled about her father.

Referring to a photo of her and Alia that went viral recently, Kareena said: “Everyone started messaging Karan (Johar). He asked why is everyone messaging him. I said the onus is on you now.”

Kareena and Shah Rukh have worked together in films such as Asoka (2001) and Don (2006). With Aamir, Kareena has worked in Talaash: The Answer Lies Within (2012) and 3 Idiots (2009).
